The Dallas Cowboys are 2-2 in 2024 after defeating the New York Giants in their divisional game last week. Superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb recorded his best-yet-season performance, hauling in seven passes for 98 yards and a touchdown. Fans are perplexed after a video of the incident was made public, yet Lamb received a heavy fine from the league today for numerous infractions.

A Dallas Cowboys star is disciplined

The NFL penalised the great receiver $25,324 for two instances of unsportsmanlike conduct during the victory last week, which included making fun of him after he scored a touchdown. Many supporters are perplexed as to why he is currently being punished when there was no flag thrown by the official during the play.

The NFL penalised Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb $25,324 for two instances of unsportsmanlike behaviour last week, one of which was taunting after he scored a touchdown.

In the video, Lamb turned to face the Giants defender, who was attempting to catch up with him as he took off sprinting for the score. It appears as though he may have spoken to the defender, but it’s not clear if his remarks called for a penalty.

With just 316 receiving yards and two touchdowns in four games this season, the superstar has had a poor start by his standards. With the exception of 2020, his rookie year, when he fell just 65 yards shy of the mark, Lamb has reached over 1,000 yards receiving in every season of his career.

The league has penalised players for a number of dubious offences that don’t seem to have an impact on the game. Players from all throughout the league have expressed their opinions on these fines and, in the event that they disagree, have even appealed to their punishments.

Do you believe Lamb should have received a fine for his taunting, or did the NFL go too far in imposing this penalty?
