NFC West Check-In: Kyler Murray is healthy and prepared to guide the Cardinals
Phoenix, Arizona (AP) – Michael Wilson, a receiver with the Arizona Cardinals in his second season, thinks that training camp is going much more easily than it did in his first. He is acquainted with the playbook and has a history of working with coach Jonathan Gannon.
Rams restructure quarterback Matthew Stafford’s deal to avoid holdout in NFC West Check-In.
But quarterback Kyler Murray’s presence is the main factor making him feel more at ease.
Wilson stated, “Kyler can make it right if it’s not perfect.”
Murray is back for what he and the Cardinals hope will be a complete season of highlights and victories as he begins his sixth NFL season.
About one and a half years have passed since the two-time Pro Bowl selection tore his ACL in his right knee against the Patriots in 2022.
He had to miss about 11 months due to the injury before making a comeback midway through the previous season. With Murray, the Cardinals went from being 1-8 to 3-5,
giving them hope that they would be more competitive come autumn.
“It was such a whirlwind for me last year—I got hurt, spent the entire year recovering, and then returned in the middle of the season,” Murray remarked. “I believe there has been a significant difference this year, starting over.”
Murray planned several team-building excursions this offseason, including one to Oklahoma and another to Los Angeles, while he was well.
