The South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team just picked up a major boost after their national title loss. Florida State Seminoles star Ta’Niya Latson announced her commitment to the Gamecocks on April 8.
Latson made the announcement on social media with the message: “Feelin’ Cocky!” She posted a photo of herself wearing a South Carolina jersey and the words “COMMITTED” on the photo.
Gamecocks head coach Dawn Staley responded to the commitment decision with six simple words in an X post: “A birdie just flew in nest!!”
