Ohio State football list Out The Kinds of Players they’re getting in its newest offensive line commitment…
Ohio State’s football team has bolstered its offensive line by securing a commitment from four-star recruit Maxwell Riley, a 2026 prospect from Avon Lake, Ohio. Riley stands 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 280 pounds, ranking as the nation’s ninth-best offensive tackle and the 114th overall player in his class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Throughout his recruitment, Riley was courted by several top programs, notably Clemson. However, he ultimately chose to remain in his home state, citing a longstanding admiration for Ohio State. He recalled the surreal experience of receiving his offer, mentioning his family’s tradition of watching Buckeyes games together.
Riley’s commitment is a significant addition to Ohio State’s 2026 recruiting class, which also includes wide receiver Chris Henry Jr., cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon, wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts, and tight end Corbyn Fordham.
This development highlights Ohio State’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its offensive line, a unit that has seen recent transitions, including the departure of Donovan Jackson to the NFL. The addition of Riley, along with other recruits like Ethan Onianwa—a transfer from Rice University—who is projected to start at left tackle in 2025, positions the Buckeyes for continued success in the trenches in the coming seasons.
