Ohio State University’s Board of Trustees approved a new deal for Day during its quarterly public meeting on Wednesday, extending his contract until January 31, 2032. This extension positions Day as the second-highest paid coach in major college football, as previously reported by The Dispatch.
Day’s total annual compensation package will be $12.5 million, which includes his base salary ($2 million), media services ($7.25 million), sponsorship services ($1 million), retention bonus ($1 million), and apparel, shoe, and equipment services ($1.25 million).
