Exclusive: Auburn Tigers favorite to land 2026 4-Star Offensive Lineman

The Auburn Tigers are looking for an offensive line recruit that plays not too far from the Plains.

Parker Pritchett, a four-star offensive lineman, lives in Columbus, Georgia, about 45 minutes from the Tigers’ campus. According to Auburn Rivals, if Pritchett commits, he may become the Tigers’ first offensive line target, joining six other committed targets for the 2026 class. Here’s a potential recruit coveted by the Tigers, among others.

The Tigers Desperately Need a Good Offensive Line

The Tigers have failed to put together an effective offensive line. Payton Thorne, last season’s starting quarterback, was sacked 26 times, a slight reduction from 31 the previous season.

Pritchett, a 6-foot-5, 305-pound lineman as a junior in high school, would be an ideal fit for the Tigers because they would not have to go far to add another piece to their future line.

They also have the pitch of being a major football program close to his hometown, which Pritchett is interested in.”Well, staying close to home, I would,” Pritchett said. “I’m trying to stay close to home,” in reference to what the Tigers have going for them.

So far, Auburn is joined by Georgia, Texas A&M and Mississippi State who all have official visits scheduled and have hope that the 4-Star will select their school. The Tigers’ official visit with Pritchett is slated to be May 30 to June 1.

The Freeze Effect

Auburn has been after Pritchett for a while now. Hugh Freeze, the head coach, and Jake Thornton, the offensive line coach, have led the push in recruiting Pritchett. Both sides believe they are “priorities” and are at the “top” of each other’s lists.

“I’ve been getting calls and texts,” Pritchett said. “I can say they are a top school on my list for sure.”

According to Auburn Rivals, Thornton and Pritchett have a close relationship. Pritchett is currently undecided about where he will live for the next three to four years. However, the Auburn Tigers are right in the thick of things.
