In a show of support for the city that has welcomed them, 2024 World Series MVP Freddie Freeman and his wife Chelsea have donated $300,000 to wildfire recovery efforts.

The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the Pasadena Fire Department, and the Salvation Army—all vital institutions in the struggle to save lives and rebuild communities—will receive the three $100,000 gifts that the Freemans are splitting their pledge into.

In order to increase the impact, Chelsea Freeman also posted on Instagram, promising to match donations made to Pasadena Humane, a group that works diligently to care for animals that were left behind or displaced during the commotion.

There are other Dodgers rising up in this moment besides Freeman. In a message shared on all of its social media platforms, the Dodgers organization informed the community that they will be announcing further details regarding their relief efforts and work in the days ahead.

A unique “LA Strong” merchandise line has been released by the Dodgers and other Los Angeles sports clubs in collaboration with Fanatics.To continue the expanding wave of solidarity, the collection’s proceeds will be donated to the LAFD Foundation and the American Red Cross.
