Braves News: Eddie Rosario returns on minors deal, Atlanta drops series opener, and more
Atlanta Braves news and notes from Friday.
The Atlanta Braves announced a series of roster moves ahead of Friday night’s matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies.
Most notably, the club signed outfielder Eddie Rosario to a minor league deal after he was released by the Washington Nationals earlier this week.
He will report to Gwinnett, but considering the amount of outfielders the Braves have used this season, Rosario may get another shot at the big leagues.
Up next, the club selected the contract of outfielder Eli White and optioned Forrest Wall to Triple-A Gwinnett. To make room on the 40-man, Ray Kerr was transferred to the 60-day IL.
White has yet to make a big league appearance this season, but has been productive in Triple-A, hitting seven home runs to accompany his .294 average.
