The Ohio State Buckeyes have done it again! In a massive recruiting win, 5-star wide receiver Marcus Taylor has officially committed to Ohio State, choosing the Buckeyes over Michigan, Alabama, and USC.
Taylor, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound speedster from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2026 class. Known for his elite route running, breakaway speed, and jaw-dropping catches, Taylor has drawn comparisons to former Buckeye greats Marvin Harrison Jr. and Garrett Wilson.
Why Ohio State?
After receiving offers from nearly every top program in the country, Taylor explained why Columbus felt like home.
“Ohio State is WRU, plain and simple. The way they develop receivers and prepare them for the NFL is unmatched. I trust Coach Hartline to take my game to the next level, and I can’t wait to be part of this explosive offense.” – Marcus Taylor
With Taylor in the fold, Ohio State’s 2026 recruiting class continues to dominate, as the Buckeyes add yet another elite weapon to their high-powered attack. Buckeye Nation can expect fireworks in the coming years with Taylor lighting up the scoreboard in The Shoe.
