At the McDonald’s All-American Jam Fest, top prospect AJ Dybantsa jumps over Angel Reese.
AJ Dybantsa is a top recruit and a BYU commit. He’s showcasing his abilities as part of the McDonald’s All-American game celebrations before he enters the college scene next year and eventually the NBA.
Tuesday is the start of the actual game at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, but Dybantsa got things started early on Monday night at the Sprite Jam Fest. Similar to the NBA’s All-Star Saturday, the Jam Fest serves as a prelude to the game and includes knockout, three-point, and slam dunk events.
As a dunker, Dybantsa had a unique trick up his sleeve: he executed a windmill slam and leaped far above Chicago Sky star Angel Reese.
In December, Dyantsa, the top prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, chose BYU over schools like Alabama, North Carolina, and Kansas. He is predicted to be the first overall choice in the 2026 NBA draft.
Alongside Dybantsa, a star-studded roster of elite prospects, including Cameron and Cayden Boozer, Darryn Peterson, Nate Ament, and Koa Peat, will compete in Tuesday’s McDonald’s All-American game. Top prospect and recent Oklahoma commit Aaliyah Chavez, along with Jazzy Davidson and Agot Makeer, are the standout players on the girls’ roster.
The boys’ game will be on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, while the girls’ game will be televised on ESPN2, tipping at 6:30 p.m. ET.
The top high school boys basketball players in the country will be playing in the annual McDonald’s All-American Game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Tuesday night.
On Monday night they held the dunk contest and BYU commit AJ Dybantsa went viral with one of his jams that saw him jump over Angel Reese before throwing down a powerful dunk. The 6’9” 18-year-old who played this past season for Utah Prep didn’t win the contest but he did have the most memorable dunk.
Reese had a perfect reaction to it, too. Check out the face she made as she watched Dybantsa finish off the dunk in style:
Too good.
