The Auburn Tigers have been crowned as the best regular season team in all of college basketball during Selection Sunday.
Coach Bruce Pearl and Co. will enter March Madness as the top No. 1 seed, usurping loaded squads like the Duke Blue Devils, Houston Cougars, and Florida Gators. However, they do still have a chip on their shoulder.
See, Auburn fell short of winning the SEC Tournament title after the Tennessee Volunteers eliminated them. It’s also not a good sign that they had two consecutive losses to the Texas A&M Aggies and Alabama Crimson Tide to cap off their season.
