Tennis legend reacts to Rafael Nadal’s post-tennis skills in padel

Boris Becker, a tennis legend, was astounded by Rafael Nadal’s fitness after watching him play padel.

The Spanish legend, adjusting to life after tennis, demonstrated his abilities on a new court, following an emotional farewell to the sport at last year’s Davis Cup Finals.

Since his debut in 2004, Nadal has won 92 ATP singles titles, 22 Grand Slam trophies, and two Olympic gold medals. His legacy ranks him among the finest athletes to ever play the game, and he is still actively involved with his Tennis Academy, contributing to its success.

Becker praised Nadal’s fitness on social media, posting a clip of him playing padel at the academy with the comment: “Rafa still looking fit!” The six-time Grand Slam champion previously expressed his admiration for Nadal through a heartfelt Instagram tribute after the tennis star’s retirement. He wrote, “One of the most iconic sportsmen ever, sadly left the game of tennis. You gave us unbelievable moments on court that will be remembered forever. A deep sense of gratitude from me and anybody that loves the game.”

In his post-retirement era, Nadal is dedicated to giving back to the sport through his tennis academy. Last week, he announced plans to expand the academy in Marbella. Reports indicate he has sold half of his stake in his original academy in Mallorca, established in 2016, and intends to utilize the profits for further development.

A source revealed that Nadal has formalized plans for this expansion, stating on social media, “I am very happy that we are officially announcing the birth of a new Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Marbella. It consolidates the expansion project of our methodology also within Spain.”

Nadal’s academy currently has locations in countries such as Mexico, Kuwait, Hong Kong, Egypt, and Greece, with aspirations to extend further, ensuring that aspiring young tennis players worldwide have access to top-notch training facilities.
