Robert Saleh, the former head coach of the New York Jets, has issued his first public comments since his dismissal from the team. In a heartfelt statement, Saleh expressed gratitude to the Jets organization, players, coaches, staff, and fans for their support during his tenure.
“To the Jets Organization, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with so many incredible people,” Saleh stated. “I will always be appreciative of the love and support from everyone at 1 Jets Drive.”
He continued, “To all of the players, I truly love and appreciate every single one of … every day and attacked every moment.”
Saleh also acknowledged the dedication of his coaching staff, stating, “To my fellow coaches and staff … . Every one of you were ‘all … .”
Addressing the fans, he remarked, “To the most passionate fan base … .”
Saleh concluded his message with his signature phrase, “All Gas No Brake!!!”
His dismissal came after a 2-3 … to the season, including consecutive losses to the Denver Broncos and the Minnesota Vikings. Jets owner Woody Johnson stated that the decision was made to move in a different direction, citing unmet expectations.
