Fernando Verdasco, a recently retired Spanish tennis player, has addressed Carlos Alcaraz’s chances of winning as many Grand Slam championships as Rafael Nadal.
The former world number seven also stated why he believes Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are “a little bit like” Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Roger Federer.
Alcaraz, who turns 22 on May 5, has already won four majors in his impressive career.
The Murcian won his first Grand Slam at the 2022 US Open, defeating Casper Ruud in the final.
With this victory, he became the youngest world number one in ATP history at 19 years and four months.
Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic in a thrilling five-set championship encounter to win his second major at Wimbledon in 2023.
In 2024, Alcaraz won the French Open with a five-set victory over Alexander Zverev before defending his Wimbledon title in a straight-set final against Djokovic.
