Derby County can confirm an update relating to the Men’s First Team coaching set-up.
The news follows the appointments of Head Coach John Eustace, Assistant Head Coach Matt Gardiner and First Team Coach Keith Downing last week and the departures of First Team Coach Matt Hamshaw and First Team Goalkeeper Coach Andy Warrington at the beginning of this week.
Paul Clements has joined as First Team Goalkeeper Coach until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Goalkeeping specialist Clements has held roles at senior level in the EFL with Stoke City, Norwich City and Huddersfield Town, and in Academy football at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Middlesbrough.
Steve Round has agreed to work with John Eustace and his coaching staff on a part-time basis in a support role and allow them to tap into his significant experience for the remainder of the campaign.
Round – a former Derby full-back in the 1990s – began his coaching career with the Rams under the late Jim Smith and has since been on the backroom staff at various clubs at the highest level of the English game, most recently at Arsenal.
