Derby County youngster Emmanuel Ilesanmi has returned to the club after seeing his loan cut short by injury.
The 20-year-old, who was on a 28-day loan with National League South outfit Torquay United, is unlikely to return to Plainmoor having suffered a hamstring injury.
Ilesanmi joined the Rams from Harrogate last summer and scored four goals in eight Premier League 2 appearances.
He came off the bench twice for Torquay, against Hampton & Richmond Borough and Maidstone United and made a positive impression in each but has not been involved in the last three league games.
Torquay boss Paul Wootton is now trying to source a replacement while Ilesanmi recuperates back with the Rams.
Wotton told DevonLive: “It’s a difficult market. There are lots of players that you enquire about and their parent clubs want to keep them in for the run-in, which is understandable. Getting the right player is very difficult. We are always looking but there is definitely no action at the moment.”
Ilesanmi has also had loan spells with Scarborough Athletic and Basford United during his time at Harrogate.
