Breaking: Four-star forward commits to Auburn basketball

Auburn men’s basketball continues to recruit, with 2025 forward Sebastian Williams-Adams committing to Bruce Pearl’s team on Sunday.

Williams-Adams is a consensus four-star forward, with 247Sports and On3 ranking him as a top-10 player in his position nationwide. He selected the Tigers from a four-team field that included Oklahoma State, Purdue, and Vanderbilt. He had offers from seven Southeastern Conference schools, including Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas, as well as Kansas and Houston, among others.

Pearl and Auburn have received two commitments in five days, including Williams-Adams and four-star guard Kaden Magwood. Magwood and four-star guard Simon Walker signed with the Tigers on Thursday.

According to 247, Williams-Adams is now the top commit in Auburn’s 2025 class. If he follows through on his commitment and signs with the Tigers, he will become the program’s tenth-highest-rated signee in the recruiting site era. That would place him between 2022 signee Chance Westry and 2020 signee JT Thor.

With Williams-Adams in the fold, Auburn’s 2025 class jumps from No. 36 to No. 16 in 247’s team rankings, according to the site’s class calculator, meaning the Tigers leap-frogged five SEC teams — Oklahoma, Tennessee, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Georgia — with the commitment.
