Derby County have some injury concerns ahead of their match against Norwich City on Saturday (3pm), as they aim to prevent an eighth consecutive league defeat.
Ryan Nyambe and David Ozoh were replaced in last weekend’s defeat to Sheffield United, and other players have already been ruled out for the trip to Carrow Road.
Today, head coach will provide an update on the injury situation for the next game against the Canaries, who are now ninth in the table.
Derby will have new signings Sondre Langas and Harrison Armstrong available to face Norwich after they both completed moves to Pride Park in the last week. Here is a rundown of all the players currently battling to prove their fitness…
Ryan Nyambe
The right-back had to be replaced at half-time of the defeat to Sheffield United due to a problem with his hip. Warne was expected to give an update today.
David Ozoh
The on-loan Crystal Palace midfielder had to come off in the second half against Sheffield United because his calf tightened up. Whether he will be available for the weekend should become clear today.
Corey Blackett-Taylor
The winger looks certain to be out of the clash this weekend after damaging his hamstring in the defeat to Cardiff. The winger had been patiently biding his time for a start, but had to be replaced in the second half. Paul Warne has since confirmed he will be out for a “period of time.”
Callum Elder
The left-back is facing a race against time to prove his fitness to face Norwich after coming off in the second half of the defeat to Cardiff. He subsequently missed the defeat to Sheffield United and the former Hull City full-back is in a battle to make the squad on Saturday.
