Signing with Northwestern football is ‘a dream come true’: Ohio State RB Anthony Tyus III answers the big question regarding him leaving Ohio State.

RB Anthony Tyus became just the third active college football RB to win a National Championship earlier this month, marking off a significant accomplishment.

It all came together during Day’s sixth season in Columbus, when the Ohio State Buckeyes embarked on a spectacular run to win the College Football Playoff.

There have been persistent speculations that the NFL is attempting to recruit Day from the collegiate ranks during his time as head coach of the Buckeyes. The head coach at Ohio State is content with his current position.

“The NFL is a fantastic league, and I had a great experience there during my two years there,” Day remarked. However, I believe that college is where we can have a greater influence on young people right now. That’s why I entered this game, and that’s what I want to accomplish.

As head coach at Columbus, Day had a 70-10 record and made the transition from Urban Meyer to Ohio State’s squad fairly smooth. But it’s wise that Day wants to remain open-minded and won’t rule out the NFL.

Day stated, “You never know how things can change, so I would never want to say [that] or consider it.”

With yet another strong group, Ohio State is poised to defend their National Championship the next season.Finding a defensive coordinator must be Day’s top priority right now, as Jim Knowles chose to accept the same position at Penn State.

The NFL will exist in the future, and Day is only 45 years old. He is currently dominating the collegiate football scene, and everything in Columbus is going well.
