Congratulations: South Carolina extends coach Shane Beamer through 2030. Read more.
With this contract extension, Shane Beamer will remain South Carolina’s football coach until the 2030 campaign.
Although the financial conditions were not disclosed, the institution said on Friday that the extension had been authorized by the board of trustees.
Beamer’s 2024 salary of $6.375 million ranked him 14th out of 16 coaches in the Southeastern Conference, according to the USA Today database on coach salaries.
Our football program is on a solid upward trajectory and is moving in the right direction thanks to Coach Beamer’s culture and dedication to excellence, according to athletic director Jeremiah Donati. This extension demonstrates our shared support for Coach Beamer as the leader, as he has expressed a desire to attend the University of South Carolina.
In his four seasons with the Gamecocks, Beamer has a 29–22 record and has guided them to three bowl games. He has triumphed over three coaches who have won national championships: Mack Brown, Dabo Swinney, and Jimbo Fisher.
After finishing 9-4 (5-3 SEC) the previous season, the Gamecocks were rated 19th in the final Associated Press Top 25 poll.
This is my dream job, as I’ve stated before,” Beamer, 47, stated. “My loved ones and I like being here. Over the last four years, we’ve made significant progress both on and off the field, but we’re not content. We are only beginning, and there is yet more to be done.
The 2025 season will begin on August 31 in Atlanta when the Gamecocks play Virginia Tech.
