After Emery confirms a replacement, the Aston Villa deal brings Roman here we go…
The Premier League team will be able to acquire an upgrade in that region of the field thanks to Fabrizio Romano’s announcement that the center-back from Aston Villa will join Jose Mourinho’s team.
Aston Villa has had plenty of time to assess the Sevilla center-back as a potential replacement for the Brazilian in their rearguard because Diego Carlos’ move to the Super Lig club has been in the works for a few days.
With 18 months remaining on his contract, Villa plans to let go of the 31-year-old for €10 million, which is significantly more than his estimated transfer value (ETV) of €4.4 million.
Romano: “Come on, Diego Carlos, to Fenerbahce! The Brazilian defender has a deal with Aston Villa and is scheduled to go to Istanbul tonight.
“Aston Villa is interested in replacing Loic Bade, so the transfer fee is anticipated to be more than €10 millionIf Unai Emery’s team closes the transfer, Bade will follow Diego Carlos’ example and depart for Sevilla to Villa Park.
Even though the dominant Premier League team spent €31 million on Diego Carlos, they will probably pay a lot less for Bade. Sevilla is having financial issues, and although the center-back has a €60 million release clause, the Spaniards are probably going to receive something around €24 million.
This would be a good deal for Villa. The projected transfer value of Bade is €27.5 million.
Despite spending a total of almost €14 million on these two acquisitions, the Birmingham team will have a stronger defensive unit because the former Rennes defender now plays at a higher level than Diego Carlos.
Any player who leaves the team this month will be replaced, Emery has previously stated.
Speaking before of Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal, he said: “In case someone is leaving, we will have to sign another player to replace him.”
As a result, it appears that Loic Bade will replace Diego Carlos at Aston Villa.
