Power Play Move! Zach Hyman and Family Take Control of OHL’s Brantford Bulldogs.

Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman, alongside his family, has taken ownership of the Ontario Hockey League’s Brantford Bulldogs. Hyman was seen on the ice awaiting a faceoff during an NHL game against the Vancouver Canucks in Vancouver on November 9, 2024.

The OHL announced Monday that its board of governors approved the sale from Ottawa Senators majority owner Michael Andlauer to a group featuring Hyman, his brother Spencer, and their father Stuart.

Currently, the Bulldogs play at the Brantford and District Civic Centre, a venue with a seating capacity of 2,952, as noted by the city’s official site. The new ownership group is exploring a long-term lease agreement with the city, including potential plans for constructing a new arena.

“Hockey is more than just a game for my family,” Hyman shared in a statement. “It teaches valuable lessons in teamwork and unites communities. I am truly honored and grateful for the trust Michael has placed in me to carry forward his remarkable legacy with such a historic franchise.”
