Breaking News: Ohio State football team lose third offensive lineman to transfer portal

Another offensive lineman is anticipated to be lost to the transfer portal by the Ohio State football team.

Two offensive linemen have already been lost to the transfer portal by the Ohio State football program. While Zen Michalski went to Indiana, Miles Walker left the Buckeyes for Boise State. However, Ohio State has been able to make up for those losses by acquiring a few offensive linemen.

Winning the Cotton Bowl is currently the Buckeyes’ main priority. They will have the opportunity to compete for a national championship if they do this. When their season ends, they will be concerned about players that depart through the transfer site. They might lose a couple more players, based on the information provided.

After the season ends, the Ohio State Buckeyes who do choose to leave the program will have five days to access the site. Most teams have already closed the gate, but CFP teams will have more time. The Buckeyes may lose another offensive lineman to the portal, according to a report.

Ohio State football player George Fitzpatrick to reportedly enter the transfer portal

According to a report by 247Sports’ Chris Hummer, George Fitzpatrick is anticipated to access the transfer portal. If Fitzpatrick chooses to use the transfer portal, he will still have two years of eligibility left because he is a redshirt sophomore.

Fitzpatrick was once a four-star recruit in the class of 2022. His development has simply fallen short of what the Buckeyes had hoped for. With the acquisition of Ethan Onianwa from Rice and Phillip Daniels from Minnesota, he was not expected to start the following season.

If Fitzpatrick does choose to go, the Buckeyes may need to consider other offensive lineman possibilities. Depending on who it is, Fitzpatrick may have an opportunity to compete for playing time at another Power 4 program. There is still some talent in him.

We wish him the best wherever he decides to continue his college football journey.
