BREAKING: Daniel Jones is the target of Kevin O’Connell’s rumors about the Minnesota Vikings.

Despite all preseason expectations and odds, the Minnesota Vikings are 9-2 on the 2024 NFL season. The defense is now among the best in the league thanks to Brian Flores, and head coach Kevin O’Connell’s “Sam Darnold Project” is progressing more than anyone could have predicted.

However, that does not imply that Vikings executives are not already considering the future. As long as his meniscus heals, KOC still intends to give the 2025 quarterback reins to JJ McCarthy, a pick at number ten in the draft.

 

However, following his release by the New York Giants last week, Daniel Jones has apparently being targeted by Minnesota as an insurance policy. Jones would immediately improve the Vikings’ 2024 quarterback room in addition to offering a policy in 2025 in the event that McCarthy’s recuperation doesn’t go exactly as expected.

Kevin O’Connell was questioned on Monday on the latest reports involving Daniel Jones and if the Minnesota Vikings would be interested in a second failed quarterback project from New York that is 27 years old.

KOC wouldn’t quite acknowledge that Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, his general manager, is snooping on Jones. However, he also did not deny the rumors. KOC grinned and responded, “I’m really not going into that at this time,” when ESPN reporter Kevin Seifert asked him directly if the Vikings were interested in Jones.
