Good News: The SEC and The South Carolina Head Coach Announced the Sensational Super Star out of Injury

Update on South Carolina injuries, Missouri QB Brady Cook

DeAndre Jules, a senior transfer who missed the previous three games due to injury, is expected to return to South Carolina’s defensive line rotation this week against Missouri.

Jules was left off of Wednesday’s SEC player availability report for the game, indicating that he will likely return to action. Head coach Shane Beamer said on Tuesday that he was hopeful that the majority of his team will be available for this weekend’s SEC finale against Missouri.

Security Josiah Thompson, a left tackle, and DQ Smith are both listed as probable for the match.

Jakai Moore, a senior offensive guard who has missed the entire season, is out once more. So are defensive tackle Nick Barrett and running back Matt Fuller.

EDGE Due to an unexplained injury, Gilber Edmond is categorized as doubtful.

Beamer stated, “We have hope for all of those players who couldn’t finish the Vanderbilt game.” “We’re hopeful that André Jules will return this week as well.

Brady Cook, the quarterback for Missouri, is listed as doubtful for the match.

Cook missed the Tigers’ close victory over Oklahoma last week due to an injury sustained two games ago against Alabama. Drew Pyne, the backup, will start this week against the Gamecocks if Cook is unable to go.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Missouri’s excellent center, Connor Tollison of the Tigers, will miss the season.

Despite enduring numerous setbacks at Vanderbilt on Saturday, the Gamecocks have stayed comparatively healthy this season.

Defensive tackles T.J. Sanders, Tonka Hemingway, and Boogie Huntley, as well as South Carolina EDGEs Kyle Kennard and Dylan Stewart, all left Saturday’s game with injuries at different points, but all of them made it through the game, and none of them are mentioned in Wednesday’s report.

Due to an injury sustained during pregame warmups, starting safety DQ Smith was replaced by Peyton Williams, who produced one of the Gamecocks’ best defensive performances.

Although sophomore Tree Babalade performed admirably in his place and was voted player of the game by the staff, Thompson left the game and did not return for the second half.

“We definitely need to keep Joshua rolling, regardless of his health,” Beamer stated on Tuesday. “Tree came in and did some excellent things.” “We have complete faith in Josiah and are happy to see both of those players in the game, even though he won’t be 100% fit if he can play. Tree was a starter for like 10 or 11 games last season. Both of them have done us some great things. Tree came in last week, and I’m proud of the way he played.

Despite playing just nine snaps this week, wide receiver Mazeo Bennett made a comeback against the Commodores after missing the A&M game early due to an upper body ailment, according to PFF.

Mo Kaba, a linebacker, will be available for Missouri even though he missed the Vanderbilt game.

During his call-in show on Thursday at 6 p.m., Beamer is expected to provide another injury report. Later that evening, at approximately 8 p.m., a second player availability report will be released.

A player availability injury report system for baseball, basketball, and men’s and women’s teams was just approved by the SEC.

Three days before every football game, SEC school staff are required to submit availability reports. Daily updates culminate in a final report ninety minutes prior to kickoff. Baseball and basketball reports are submitted the evening before the game, and an update is provided on game day.

Prior to game day, players will be classified as available, probable, doubtful, and questionable based on the injury reports that colleges submit. Designations, whether in-game or out-of-game, will be available on game day. The model is based on NFL style injury reports.

The SEC Network will broadcast the game between the Gamecocks and Tigers this Saturday at 4:15 p.m. at Williams-Brice Stadium.
