Latest News: Steelers In Talk For Blockbuster Trade for Raiders’ Star, Cowboys WR Out For Steelers Game…

Source: Steelers ‘Absolutely In’ on Davante Adams

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Las Vegas Raiders are trying to work out a deal.

Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders is an All-Pro wide receiver that the Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in acquiring. The Steelers are “totally in” on a trade for the 31-year-old Adams, according to sources who spoke with Steelers On SI about his request for a transfer from Las Vegas.

It appears like Adams and the Raiders have reached a breaking point since, according to sources, the franchise is aggressively contacting other teams to see if they would be interested in signing him. The Steelers were said to have “preliminary interest” in learning Adams’ cost and were anticipated to get engaged in some way.

The Raiders are seeking a second-round selection and a “major player” in exchange for Adams, but the Steelers are not willing to give up a first-round pick, according to a team source. To enable Adams to remain in Pittsburgh for the long run, the Steelers would therefore need to modify Adams’s existing contract in order to reduce his enormous budget obligations over the following two years.

The Steelers see Adams more as another veteran addition who can help them pursue a Super Bowl this season and are not concerned about any attitude issues with him. He would replace George Pickens as the starting wide receiver, with Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin filling in behind them.

This narrative is still evolving. The Steelers will remain involved as they search for another star, and Adams and the Raiders will continue to work out the current problem. Following their offseason pursuit of Brandon Aiyuk, Pittsburgh is prepared to make another splash if the conditions meet their comfort level.

First Call: Raiders reportedly sitting Davante Adams with injury during trade talks; Cowboys WR out for Steelers game

In light of trade rumours involving the Steelers, we have an update on Davante Adams’ health, a receiver for Las Vegas.

We also learn of a possible mixed martial arts match between two former rivals of the AFC North.More accidents in Dallas. Plus, we catch up with a former Pirate who’s pitching in the postseason.

On Thursday, “First Call” covered all of that.

Davante conundrum

Trade negotiations are centred around wide receiver Davante Adams of the Raiders. The 31-year-old pass catcher is now expected to miss this week’s game against the Denver Broncos due to a hamstring issue, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Adams did not play in the Cleveland Browns game last week either.

Many are questioning if Adams is being protected by the Raiders, his camp, or both in order to avoid suffering a serious injury before the trade deadline on November 5. However, the athlete’s daughter Dianna Russini insists that she has been informed that the ailment is “genuine” and that he might miss the Raiders’ games against the Steelers this week and the next week.

Given that the Steelers are among the teams rumoured to be interested in Adams’ services, that will be an intriguing moment.

Other clubs that have been connected to trade negotiations with Las Vegas are the Chiefs, Saints, Jets, Commanders, and Cowboys.

This wouldn’t work out.

Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson demonstrated how he would try to scare Steelers players before to a game on an episode of “Inside the NFL” airing on September 27.

Even James Harrison, the formidable man.

Ocho now claims that, prior to the Super Bowl, he and James Harrison will square off in a “MMA-style” bout in New Orleans.

Harrison is complying, to the extent that this is true.

In response, Johnson declared that he would still defeat Harrison in the opening frame. Harrison seems to disagree with the assertion.

Who would authorise this about? I’m not very sure. Harrison weighs a little bit less than you.

The former linebacker weighed 242 pounds and stood 6 feet tall. It appears that he has gained an additional 242 pounds of muscle in retirement. Johnson weighed 192 pounds and stood 6 feet 1 inch.

Another difficult transaction in Dallas

The Dallas Cowboys’ supporters knew going into Wednesday that their club would be playing in Pittsburgh without DeMarcus Lawrence on Sunday night. Due to a foot ailment, the standout rusher has been placed on injured reserve.

Micah Parsons, a linebacker, is also doubtful to play because of an ankle injury. On Wednesday, it was revealed that receiver Brandin Cooks would also be sidelined for the match. That’s what Todd Archer of ESPN.com says.

He said Cooks’ right knee illness may lead him to miss more games than simply this week. Following Cooks’ surgery following his team’s victory over the New York Giants on Thursday, the problem surfaced.

This season, Cooks has nine receptions for 91 yards and a score. In terms of receiving production, he is fourth on the team behind tight end Jake Ferguson and fellow receivers CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Tolbert.

Due to what appeared to be an injury, pitcher Joe Musgrove had to depart Wednesday’s San Diego Padres Wild Card game against the Atlanta Braves.

In the fourth inning, with two outs, the former Pirate went out.At that point, San Diego was ahead 5-1.Musgrove had given up just one hit, one walk, and one run while recording four strikeouts.Bryan Hoeing took his position.

In the end, the Padres prevailed 5–4. They will now face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the following round after eliminating the Braves.

In relation to baseball, did anyone witness the jab the Washington Wild Things took at the Pirates on social media?

A Frontier League squad is currently making the Buccos pay for their terrible play. That seems appropriate in some way.

Russell Wilson ramps up at Steelers practice; Justin Fields focused on Cowboys, not QB1 status

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks Justin Fields (No. 2, left) and Russell Wilson (No. 3) listen to position coach Steelers coach Tom Arth during a minicamp session in June. Wilson appears to be getting closer to taking back Fields’ starting position for the Steelers, as seen by his increased practice involvement.

Rusell Wilson’s involvement at Pittsburgh Steelers practices is gradually rising.

The player who is still listed as the team’s “QB1” on the official depth chart informed reporters on Thursday that he has been participating in team drills this week, including 11-on-11 and seven-on-seven, in addition to “getting more plays” in general.

Wilson declared following practice at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, “We’re definitely pushing it up.” “It’s gone well.”

However, it is insufficient to warrant an official status change as indicated by the league-mandated injury report. Since Wison’s calf injury is still considered a limited participant, Justin Fields is anticipated to start the season for the fifth time in a row when the Steelers take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.

Nevertheless, Wilson reported feeling “very confident” throughout Thursday’s practice, and it appears as though the time may soon come for him to get the go-ahead to play in a game and make his Steelers debut.

The 35-year-old Wilson described his activities as “just talking with the physicians and doing different stuff like that.” However, I feel confident and strong. I enjoy the process we’ve been going through to make sure I’m completely prepared and ready to go. We still have Saturday and everything else, plus I get an extra day (Friday). That’s how I’m thinking as we prepare for Sunday.

In general, Wilson sidestepped the query regarding whether he could back Fields up as the No. 2 in a game. Wilson was the “emergency” No. 3 behind the seasoned Kyle Allen for the first four games of the Steelers’ season.

Coach Mike Tomlin has refrained from announcing his intentions about Wilson’s replacement at quarterback after Wilson gets well. Wilson’s leg injury from Thursday, four weeks prior, became worse. On July 24, the day of reporting for the training camp at Saint Vincent, it was first adjusted. It took him about three weeks to practise it thoroughly.

Fields, a former NFL starter who was also acquired in the summer, has undoubtedly had his best four-game stretch to date. With the Steelers out to a 3-1 start, Fields has accounted for six touchdowns (three passing, three rushing), recorded a 98.0 passer rating, and completed 70.6% of his passes.

Fields stated on Thursday that he is under no additional pressure to perform well this week, given that Wilson is getting closer to receiving the required medical clearance to take back the starting position.

Fields declared, “I’m simply going to keep doing what I’ve been doing, and whatever decision (Tomlin) makes, he makes.” I will simply go out there and carry on with my current activities because I have no control over what I do outside of the field.
