The Los Angeles Rams do not have to deal with a fresh batch of multiple injuries following a football game for the first time in a very long time. Even if the Rams roster is far from healthy at this point, the team’s coaches, players, and medical personnel may gather their thoughts and exhale collectively now that they have even a week off.
With 12 important players on injured reserve and starting wide receiver Cooper Kupp still out despite not having been placed on injured reserve, this squad is still struggling. That’s just the way things have gone for the team in 2024 thus far: Tyler Higbee, Cooper Kupp, and Puka Nacua, their three main receiving targets, are not on the pitch.
Even TE Davis Allen, in his second year, is recuperating from a back issue. He was absent for Week 3, and as of right now, his availability for Week 4 seems dubious at best.
The Rams’ official Week 4 injury report is not too bad. Nonetheless, it ignores the enormous number of injured players who have already been placed on injured reserve. Additionally, even though the club will be without injured players through Week 4, it is still necessary to think about who, how many, and how to get those players back on the field by Week 5.
I’d be shocked if the team did anything to get guys back on the field before their Week 6 bye. As of right now, up to five players can start the process of returning to the active roster as early as Week 5. What have we seen from the LA Rams thus far in their first quarter versus the Chicago Bears in Week 4? The Rams have already led the game early for the first time this season. The Rams have led and maintained a scoring advantage in this game for the first time this season, despite the fact that it is not a significant lead.
The Rams aim to establish a commanding lead before unleashing their pass rush on a youthful, pass-heavy offence. The Rams offence will have to work hard to get yards in this game because Cooper Kupp isn’t playing.
Even though it’s still far too early to assess this game fully, there are enough encouraging hints to mention a few findings. They are thus far positive.

Veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford has completed six of seven throws in the first quarter. They have been passing to TE Colby Parkinson (2 of 3), RB Kyren Williams (1 of 1), WR Demarcus Robinson (1 of 1), and WR Jordan Whittington (2 of 2).
Naturally enough in these gusty confines. Although the Rams are happy to only throw short passes, their receivers can still gain yards after the catch.
(1) Joshua Karty, a rookie kicker for the Rams, is still doing well.
In 2024, the Rams aimed to improve significantly in the red zone, but, as of Week 4, it is not the case. Fortunately, the Rams offence can rely on rookie kicker Joshua Karty. Karty not only made a 46-yard field goal to end the season. The Rams scored their second field goal of the game almost soon after the second quarter started.
Although there is some offensive movement from the LA Rams, the game is far from over.
The Rams must cease their defensive penalties and step up their offensive game.
