The Steelers will be counting on Cordarrelle Patterson and Najee Harris to put in additional work this week with Warren sidelined. As the third running back for the contest, they added running back Aaron Shampklin to the active roster.
Mason McCormick, a fourth-round rookie, will start in the NFL for the first time since Seumalo is out. At left guard, Spencer Anderson will occasionally switch places with him, but McCormick will probably play the majority of the snaps there.
Nick Herbig, a standout pass rusher in his second year, will make his first career start in the meantime. As the third outside linebacker, DeMarvin Leal, who had an incredible summer, will get an opportunity to demonstrate his abilities.
Roman Wilson, a rookie wide receiver, will not return to action. Mike Tomlin stated before the game that he needed more time to prepare for the game, and his lack of activity is evidence of that. With just four wide receivers on the roster, the Steelers will look to Patterson to fill the void once more.
Rush misses his second consecutive week of action. James Pierre has assumed most of the position for the squad after doing poorly on special teams. Thomas Graham, who will play in the dime packages, was elevated by the Steelers. Terrell Edmunds, who the Steelers signed off the practice squad of the Jacksonville Jaguars, will make his team debut at this time.
