SAD NEWS: San Francisco’s 49ers key player  Kyle Juszczyk and Arik Arsmtead Agreed Terminating Aheir Contrate Due To…

The 49ers asked both Kyle Juszczyk and Arik Arsmtead to accept wage cuts this summer. Armstead rejected, assuming he can earn more money on the free market than what the 49ers gave him, and he may be correct. Will Juszczyk refuse their wage reduction and test free agency as well?

It’s simple to understand why Armstead made his choice. He was expected to make a stunning $28 million this season — he still has worth, even if he’s aging and getting hurt. Every team needs a three-down defensive lineman who’s excellent against the run and the pass. There’s a tremendous market for him, just not at $28 million every season.

Juszczyk is distinctive. Juszczyk is a fullback and too years older than Armsread. Not many teams even utilise fullbacks. Thus, his market may be quite limited if he tries the free market and refuses to accept a salary decrease. If the 49ers make him a lowball offer, he could be better off accepting it.
But there’s one possible ace in Juszczyk’s sleeve: The Dolphins.
Mike McDaniel, who served as an offensive assistant with the 49ers from 2017 to 2021, is their head coach. That means he spent five seasons writing plays for Juszczyk. Furthermore, McDaniel is among the NFL’s most inventive offensive coordinators; in fact, he may be even more inventive than Kyle Shanahan. Furthermore, Florida, where the Dolphins play, is tax-free. Thus, Juszczyk would benefit more from the Dolphins if they offered him precisely what the 49ers do.
Though I’m not claiming the Dolphins even want Juszczyk, he need to at least contact McDaniel and ask.
