Breaking news: Dodger starter is still planning to come back this year Due To…

According to Fabian Ardaya of the Athletic, Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Gavin Stone plans to begin throwing next week with the intention of returning before the season ends.

Since September 6, the right-hander has been placed on the 10-day disabled list. Given how few games are left on the schedule, the Dodgers are not optimistic about Stone’s comeback.

Gavin Stone, pitcher with the Dodgers Wanting to Come Back This SeasonStone had an ERA of 9.00 in 2023 while appearing in games and making spot starts for the Dodgers out of the bullpen. Nonetheless, during this year’s spring training, Stone cemented a position in the starting rotation. The right-hander pitched in 14 1/3 innings with a better than respectable 3.53 ERA over 25 starts. The hurler could be relied upon to give a staff in flux length and stability prior to suffering an injury.

All of the Dodgers’ Opening Day starting rotation has been to Illinois, including Stone.Yoshinobu Yamamoto has returned to the team, while Tyler Glasnow is out for the season.

The Dodgers have received a much-needed boost from Jack Flaherty since his arrival at the trade deadline. Walker Buehler might have also discovered his belongings and arm slot in time to support a postseason push.Any positive news at this time is helpful because the Dodgers need depth.

Possibility of a Future Hall of Famer Returning

Clayton Kershaw, a left-hander, threw a perfect game today despite being on the IL due to a bone spur in his big toe. Kershaw threw 83 pitches in his bullpen session. Although not confirmed, his return this season is still a possibility. Without a doubt, the Dodgers would get a major boost if Stone or Kershaw were to return this season.
