According to Kentucky State Police, they apprehended a man from Louisville who, high on heroin, led them and other local agencies on a chase.
The truck went off the road and wrecked in a forested area, so the pursuit continued down East Blue Lick for a short while.
After then, the man was taken into custody by the police and treated for consuming an “unknown amount of a narcotic thought to be heroin” at University of Louisville Hospital.
After the suspect is discharged from the hospital, his name will be made public. According to KSP, the suspect will face accusations of receiving stolen property, stealing more than $10,000, and running away and escaping capture.
KSP received assistance from Bullitt, Nelson, and Hardin counties’ agencies. The inquiry is still on.
