Police Reviled the Identity of Louisville Man Who Leads police on Multi-county Chase Involving Semi-truck

According to Kentucky State Police, they apprehended a man from Louisville who, high on heroin, led them and other local agencies on a chase.

According to authorities, the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office started chasing a stolen Hyundai Elantra on Bluegrass Parkway on Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. When the chase got to I-65 North, which is close to Elizabethtown, KSP was called in to take command. The vehicle left the highway and headed north on Joe Prather Parkway towards Radcliff, so the pursuit did not last long. After reaching Patriot Lane, the man halted his vehicle, exited, and began to run.The guy was driving a semi-truck, according to the police, when they noticed him building up a perimeter. There was another chase that brought everyone back to I-65 North. The semi drove off the interstate, into a company parking lot, and out onto East Blue Lick Road in Bullitt County, where troopers had placed up stop sticks.

The truck went off the road and wrecked in a forested area, so the pursuit continued down East Blue Lick for a short while.

After then, the man was taken into custody by the police and treated for consuming an “unknown amount of a narcotic thought to be heroin” at University of Louisville Hospital.

After the suspect is discharged from the hospital, his name will be made public. According to KSP, the suspect will face accusations of receiving stolen property, stealing more than $10,000, and running away and escaping capture.

KSP received assistance from Bullitt, Nelson, and Hardin counties’ agencies. The inquiry is still on.
