Few people in the world could argue that they are a better quarterback than Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, but one has emerged.
According to a current flag football quarterback, he would actually be a far better choice than Mahomes to captain Team USA in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Patrick Mahomes receives advice and praise from Tom Brady.
The 35-year-old righty Darrell “Housh” Doucette has talked to TMZ Sports about his background. At the 2022 World Games, he assisted in leading the USA national flag football team to victory.
Earlier this week, he garnered media attention when he asserted that it was ‘disrespectful’ for NFL players to believe they could replace some flag football players and compete in the Olympics in four years.
He is in favour of fair play.
He wants them to earn their spot, just like current flag football players have, and acknowledges that his remarks may have been misunderstood.
Ultimately, Doucette remarked, “I feel like my game intelligence makes me better than Patrick Mahomes.”
“I’m not saying I’m a better player overall, but until he steps on a 5v5 flag field, I’m going to feel that way until it’s proven otherwise,” he later added in a text message. Since I’m a rival, I must be disproven.
It’s true what he said, “This is a completely different game,” The pitch is shorter and more narrow for the 5v5 play.
Very little physicality is present.
