Where 2024 Draft Prospects for the Boston Bruins Will Play This Season
As the NHL season approaches in two months, the Boston Bruins find themselves toward the bottom of prospect pools. Now that Mason Lohrei, Matt Poitras, and John Beecher have been called up, the pool of young players is once again a little thin. These are the players’ destinations within the Boston Bruins organization selected in the 2024 NHL Draft as the 2024–25 season draws closer.

First-round Dean Letourneau The Bruins traded to need the 25th pick in this year’s draft in order to choose the 6-foot-7 center from Ontario. They have not selected in the first round since 2021.

Elliott Groenewold (4th Round): The 6-foot-2, 200-pound blue liner turned heads with his play at development camp and is an intriguing talent as an aggressive defenseman with some offensive skill. Groenewold played one season in the USHL with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, contributing five goals and 11 assists.

This winter, Groenewold will be a freshman at Quinnipiac University. Jonathan Morello (5th Round): The Bruins are interested in Morello’s size at center, and he is a quick, strong skater who can score points per game in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Morello will play for the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the USHL before he attends Clarkson University for the 2025–26 season.
