Maple Leafs have acquired the former MVP from the Blackhawks in a trade pitch.
In a trade pitch, Taylor Hall, a former MVP of the Chicago Blackhawks, is added by the Toronto Maple Leafs to strengthen their lineup.
The Maple Leafs haven’t made any changes to their forward group in the offseason, and Toronto is in a position to win the Stanley Cup. Due to Toronto’s difficulty scoring goals in the playoffs the previous season, Hall is being acquired by the Maple Leafs in exchange for one player.
A member of the website PuckPedia suggested a trade that would have brought Hall to Toronto using a new tool called PuckGM, which allows users to make their own trades.
In exchange for Hall’s $3 million retention, Toronto would receive a one-for-one agreement that would enable the Maple Leafs to finance Hall. While the Blackhawks are currently rebuilding, Chicago would receive a second-round selection, which would aid in their reconstruction.
Given that Hall is about to enter his final season on a contract, it seems likely that he will be sold by the trade deadline, particularly if Chicago misses out on a postseason position. The Blackhawks would receive another premium draft pick if they moved him before the deadline, and Toronto would gain a talented player to bolster their forward core even further.
