The Commanders Coach reveals the starting quarterback’s name.
The Washington Commanders may have a bright future now that longtime owner Daniel Snyder has formally left the team and Josh Harris and his ownership group are able to lead them forward with their progressive style. This is especially true now that the legendary franchise has added rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Even though there was a lot of discussion about who the Commanders should choose with the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Washington made up its mind quickly that Daniels was the player they wanted going forward.
The one thing that appears to be on everyone’s mind as the 2024 NFL season approaches and new head coach Dan Quinn takes over is: when will the rookie quarterback officially be anointed Washington’s starting quarterback?
When Quinn was questioned by host Kay Adams on “Up & Adams” about when he would name Daniels the starting lineup, the coach gave no timeframe, but it seemed probable.
Quinn remarked, “He’s getting the work that I wanted.” “Kay, that’s the most important thing to do to make sure he gets the assignment with the first group. He understands when to act. He is removing the items. I just wanted to make sure we didn’t overlook anything. He’s got a fantastic start.
