The top five draft misses by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2010s
The selection of Joel Embiid in the 2014 NBA Draft made the Philadelphia 76ers a perennial playoff contender and one of the greatest teams in the Eastern Conference for a number of years.
Nevertheless, they passed up chances to find Embiid a partner who may help them become champions in a number of drafts during the 2010s.

Paul George was recently added, but it will be interesting to see how that works out.
But one of the guys on this list might have teamed up with Embiid earlier and propelled the 76ers into the championship picture.
These are five 2010 draft hopefuls that Philadelphia missed out on.

Michael Carter-Williams was chosen by the 76ers with the eleventh pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. At the age of 15, Giannis Antetokounmpo joined the Milwaukee Bucks.

Rookie of the Year went to Carter-Williams. The majority of Antetokounmpo’s rookie campaign was spent as a reserve player.
Carter-Williams appeared like a steal at number eleven, while Antetokounmpo didn’t seem like a terrific pick at first.

But time had other ideas. The two had developed into teammates by year two. By the third year, Antetokounmpo’s potential was increasingly apparent. Antetokounmpo made the All-Star team in his fourth year. During his first seven seasons, he improved his averages in both scoring and rebounding. The second year was Carter-Williams’ career year.
