More Marlins and division rival trade deadline news
A Trade Deadline, What One! The Baltimore Orioles gave the Miami Marlins a big haul and previously, they traded for another player. What do you think? We will soon be receiving EVEN MORE news! JT Chargois, a relief pitcher, was part of a minor trade with the Seattle Mariners. Other deals included a transfer in the bullpen and another rotation deal for the New York Mets. The trades mentioned above went somewhat unnoticed.
Additional Trade Deadline agreements involving division opponents and the Miami Marlins
Are you prepared for additional updates? First, The Fish is shipping JT Chargois to Seattle. This isn’t a move that will significantly impact either team.
It’s unlikely that Seattle will gain all that much. 33-year-old journeyman Chargois joined the Miami Marlins in 2022 after playing for the Minnesota Twins, Tampa Bay Rays, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Seattle Mariners in 2016. He had a 3.54 ERA/3.87 FIP, 9.1 K/9, and 3.4 BB/9 over that span.
In his first season with The Fish in 2023, Chargois turned in a respectable 3.61 ERA/3.80 FIP in 46 games and 42.1 innings thrown. However, his 7.4 K/9 and 3.8 BB/9 were somewhat unimpressive. This season, he has pitched 16.2 innings in 15 games with a 1.62 ERA/5.32 FIP, 6.5 K/9, and 3.8 BB/9.
