“Should a bid materialize…” – Wolves concede a £60 million star’s match after ties with Newcastle United
Pedro Neto, a winger for Wolverhampton Wanderers, has been linked to Newcastle United, Liverpool, and Arsenal.
Pedro Neto will be sold by Wolverhampton Wanderers to Newcastle United if the player’s rumored £60 million asking price is met, according to Gary O’Neil.
In recent months, the Portuguese international has been linked to the Magpies, Liverpool, and Arsenal. Although Neto has improved to become one of the top wingers in the Premier League, injuries are still his worst enemy.
Newcastle is reportedly looking for a right-sided attacker after losing out to Bayern Munich earlier in the transfer window on Michael Olise. Neto, the talisman for the Wolves, is comparable in terms of talent and would want a comparable price.
Manager O’Neil said in an interview with the Express & Star that he might not be able to convince Neto to continue at Molineux. With three years left on his Wolves deal, Neto’s team does not urgently need to sell.
O’Neil remarked, “I know how good he is, and I know how well he would do at a big club.” It goes without saying that I want this squad to achieve incredible success. Thus, I’m hoping he remains. I believe so (there’s a possibility he remains). Nothing is happening from anyone right now.
