Early indications suggest that the “fantastic” £25 million player will fit in perfectly with Wolves. This summer, Wolves signed a guy who has the potential to be a truly fantastic addition. Wanderers suffered their first preseason loss last night in Annapolis, falling to Crystal Palace 3-1.
The outcome doesn’t really matter, but it did serve as a reminder to Wolves that there are still issues that need to be resolved. Wolves’ cause was not helped by the goalkeepers’ subpar performances, which left supporters concerned about their depth. But aside from the errors from Dan Bentley and Tom King, it was another strong showing from Wolves and Gary O’Neil was still reasonably satisfied after the encounter.
Jorgen Strand Larsen is another man he will undoubtedly be happy with; he made another positive impression.
Wolves needed to bring in a new striker this summer.
Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan both served spells through the middle of the previous term. Despite their success,
Wolves still required a center of attention and a goalie to seize opportunities.
That’s what Strand Larsen is supposed to do.
Despite not having scored a goal while wearing Wolves colors yet, he is already shown that he is more than just a goal scorer.
Strand Larsen contributed an assist against Palace, his second in as many games.
