Whoever said that these pitching prospects were in the dog days of summer neglected to mention that.
Each organization has one prospect listed below who has posted scorching numbers in the last month that correspond with national temperatures. Not only are these people of the highest caliber, but five throwers in the Top 100 also made the list.

Kendry Rojas, LHP, Blue Jays of the American League East (No. 12)
Due to a shoulder injury, Rojas missed more than two months of action in the first half of the season. However, after making his way back to High-A Vancouver on July 9, he has performed admirably, with a 1.98 ERA with 16 strikeouts in three starts (13 2/3 innings). His performance on July 26 (6 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 K) was his finest of the season and a definite indication that he has returned to form for the final stretch.

Patrick Reilly, RHP (No. 15) with the Orioles
Pitching the greatest baseball of his young career, Reilly joins the Orioles after being acquired for prospect Billy Cook at the Trade Deadline. The Vanderbilt 2023 fifth-round selection threw 21 2/3 innings in July, recording a 2.08 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 10.8 K/9, and—possibly most encouraging—2.91 BB/9 for a player who has had command issues.
