Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Offers the Most Recent Freddie Freeman Information
First baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers Freddie Freeman is still listed as a family emergency because his kid Maximus is still sick. After joining the Dodgers for their series against the Astros in Houston last week, Freeman returned to Los Angeles right away to be with his family in the midst of his son’s medical crisis.
Freeman’s status was updated by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts on Tuesday, when he stated he doubted the first baseman would return for the remainder of their series in San Diego against the Padres.
Roberts remarked, “He’s still kind of in it with Max.” We have a day off after this series, so we’ll check in again, but I don’t see him returning. To be really honest, I haven’t even brought up the topic of him returning because I don’t think it’s appropriate.
After the Dodgers play the Padres in a series, they will go to Oakland to play the Athletics. After that, they’ll be back at Dodger Stadium to play the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies in a series.
Chelsea, Freeman’s wife, revealed some information regarding her son’s status in an earlier Instagram story. Say a prayer for Maximus, please. The doctor claims that because of the viral illness he had during All Star week, he temporarily suffered synovitis.
