We reported on Friday that Sergio Reguilón, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, has been offered to Sevilla by his agent, according to reports from the Spanish media.
The left-back was sent out on loan by Spurs to Manchester United and Brentford last season because Ange Postecoglou did not include him in his plans.
In an effort to give the 27-year-old more time to find a new team, Tottenham has left him off of their roster for their preseason tour of Asia this summer.
The Spain international may choose the La Liga team if a report from Vamos Mi Sevilla FC is accurate.
The three left-backs at the Andalusian club right now are Ludwig Augustinsson, Marcos Acuña, and Adrià Pedrosa. Augustinsson’s and the Argentine’s fates are still up in the air because Acuña and the team want to part ways this summer.
Pedrosa hasn’t persuaded Sevilla manager García Pimienta, who is also worried about the left side of defense. The Tottenham player fits in as the new left-back that he has wanted.
Reguilón is reportedly Sevilla’s “favorite” target according to sporting director Víctor Orta, who has already had conversations with the player.
Reguilón spent the 2019–20 season on loan at Sevilla, and according to the report, he “would be willing to return” to the team.
