He will most likely rank in the top five on the Leafs’ all-time scoring list this season.

One of the best hockey pairings ever for a long period was Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.
The notion of decreasing returns, however, is called into doubt when two exceptional players are paired together.
Both excellent players, Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews, have the capacity to elevate less talented players to the level of top players. They work really well together,
but when you team them up, they can only make one other person a star.
