Wolves eye a £24,000 per week replacement for Kilman, whose club is ready to cash in.
Wolves have been linked with a move for another center-back as Gary O’Neil looks to fill the Max Kilman-shaped hole in his side’s defense ahead of the new Premier League season, it has been reported.
Kilman’s exit is a significant setback for Wolves
Even though former Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui’s decision to lure the man he appointed captain of the Old Gold back to Molineux was somewhat expected, O’Neil was severely harmed by the move. Kilman was not just a superb defender but also incredibly durable, as seen by the fact that he played every minute of the 2023–24 season and missed only one in the previous two.
Despite the fact that the new season begins in only three weeks, O’Neil’s team has not even attempted to replace him this summer. Instead, the Wolves manager is concentrating on fortifying his front line after it faltered during the 2023–24 campaign.
