Hugo Bueno, a star player for Wolves, is a target for Brendan Rodgers, but the Celtic manager has been quiet about the move.
The only senior player occupying that position at the moment is Greg Taylor, hence the left-back is supposedly a target for a season-long loan. In an interview with GiveMeSport, Aaron Rodgers said he is aware of the player but didn’t reveal anything about the trade.
“I obviously know him from his time playing in the Premier League, but I have nothing more to say than that,” he is cited as saying.
Paulo Bernardo is also expected to undergo a transfer. Last season, the midfielder went on loan from Benfica, but Rodgers remained unfazed by any suggestions. “Nothing from my end,” he stated. Michael [Nicholson], the CEO, and I haven’t communicated in a while. I can’t contribute anything more to the mechanism that has been put in place to try and get players in.”
With one year remaining on his contract, Taylor is one player whose future is under question, even though the Premiership winners want to retain him in the long run. “I have enjoyed working with Greg, and we want to tie him down for the longer term,” Celtics manager Brendan Rodgers continued.
