A challenging update for the Patriots and Christian Barmore
Christian Barmore, a defensive tackle for the New England Patriots, has been diagnosed with blood clots; the team has not provided an estimated time of return.
The Patriots selected Christian Barmore in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft; although he is not a starter, he is a reliable defensive tackle in the rotation. Pro Football Reference states that in his first season, he started two out of the 17 games. Then, in 2022, he started three out of his ten games. He started six of the 17 games during the previous season. Barmore had his greatest season to date last year, recording 64 tackles and 8.5 sacks.
The Patriots laid out Barmore’s next course of action as he starts his recuperation journey.
Christian Barmore was diagnosed with blood clots over the weekend. The Patriots’ statement states that “Christian was treated appropriately by the physicians at Mass General Brigham, who assessed, tested, and treated him.” “At this moment, Christian’s health and welfare are our top priorities.
Thankfully, Mass General Brigham offers some of the greatest medical treatment available worldwide. We know Christian is receiving excellent care, and we look forward to his full recovery even though there isn’t a set timeline for his homecoming
