If things don’t change, these seven Coventry City players will leave the CBS Arena in 2025.
There have been a lot of close calls for Mark Robins and Coventry City during the past two seasons.
Heartbreak at Wembley is difficult enough, never mind in consecutive years and in two different championships. The only team that truly understands what the Sky Blues have gone through is Solihull Moors, who were defeated in two finals at the
hope of English football last season.
Despite all of the frustration, there has also been a great deal of joy and success. Even though they did falter toward the end of the 2023–2024 season, they are confident in their team’s ability to compete among the best in the league.
This summer, Liam Kelly, Simon Moore, Dermi Lusala, Bradley Stretton, Luis Binks, and Callum O’Hare—six players of the 23/24 team—officially left the team.
The next time around, it will likely be much the same since seven players have contracts that expire in less than a year, which will force them to leave the CBS Arena. When that time comes, they aim to have accomplished what they were unable to in the first two seasons.
The Jamaican international proved vital to the team when Callum O’Hare was sidelined by injury or saw a decline in play. With O’Hare’s departure, Kasey Palmer will probably have a larger role in Coventry’s future.
