How did the rookie quarterback feel about the veteran’s unique scheme?
Quarterback Jacoby Brissett of the New England Patriots is in an advantageous situation as the starting quarterback for a franchise that is looking elsewhere for its future. Drake Maye, the third overall selection, is that future. However, Brissett’s effective pre-training camp approach had a favorable effect on the youthful Maye.
Maye told bostonglobe.com that by getting the quarterbacks together for early-morning workouts, Brissett did a great job of helping them get ready for the next season.
Drake Maye, a rookie quarterback, remarked, “It was fun down there in Florida.” We were lucky to work out early in the morning because it was really hot. It was nice to catch up with those guys, check in throughout the break, and continue working.
Joe Milton III and Bailey Zappe are also considered candidates for quarterback.
