With a three-run home run from Luke Raley and 5 2/3 solid innings from Bryan Woo, the Seattle Mariners defeated the Houston Astros 6-4 on Sunday despite Julio Rodríguez’s injury.
After he twisted his right ankle jumping for a flyball near the center field fence on a triple by cycle-hitting Yordan Alvarez, Rodríguez left the game in the sixth inning.

After spending many minutes on the ground due to discomfort in his ankle, Rodríguez, along with manager Scott Servais and trainer Taylor Bennett, left the field. Servais stated that the first X-rays came back negative.
Servais said, “He has a minor ankle sprain.” For now, it’s on a daily basis. We’ll keep an eye on his development and gauge his mood.
